Professions are a secondary skill system alongside your vocation. Gather resources, craft items, cook food, or customize the look of your equipment to earn gold and support your fellow adventurers.
You can only choose one profession per character and the choice is permanent. Choose wisely!

Miners extract ore from stone deposits using a Pick. Higher mining skill unlocks rarer ores that blacksmiths use to add a cosmetic glow to equipment.
How to Start
- Obtain a Pick (buy from equipment shops)
- Use the Pick on stone deposits to mine Copper Ore
- Collect 25 Copper Ore
- Deliver them to Gundrak and say profession
- Confirm with yes to become a Miner

NPC Trainer
Woodcutters chop trees with a Hand Axe to gather wood. Higher skill unlocks rarer wood types used to craft fine furniture with unique tints.
How to Start
- Obtain a Hand Axe
- Use the Hand Axe on trees to chop Rough Wood
- Collect 25 Rough Wood
- Deliver them to Sylva and say profession
- Confirm with yes to become a Woodcutter

How to Start
- Obtain Raw Meat (dropped by many creatures)
- Use the Raw Meat on an oven or campfire to cook it
- Cook 25 Roasted Meat
- Deliver them to Bretta and say profession
- Confirm with yes to become a Cook

You can cook entire stacks at once. Failed attempts burn the food, so higher cooking skill means less waste.
NPC Trainer
Blacksmiths use ore to apply a cosmetic glow outline to weapons and armor. The effect is purely visual and does not change any stats. Train your smithing skill on an anvil, then alter equipment for a unique look.
How to Start
- Mine 25 Copper Ore using a Pick on stone deposits
- Deliver them to Tormund (Thais), Cedrik (Venore), or Ingrid (Carlin) and say profession
- Confirm with yes to become a Blacksmith
Training
Use ore on an anvil to train your smithing skill. Each ore grants 3 skill points.
Equipment Glow
Use ore on a weapon or armor piece in your backpack through the crosshair to apply a colored glow outline. The glow is purely cosmetic and does not change stats.

Failed attempts destroy the ore but leave your equipment unharmed. Buy a whetstone from a blacksmith NPC to remove the glow and restore equipment to its original appearance.
